MY EYE
Perspectives on Point of View
Interactive Installations with Visual Games
Centre Pompidou × West Bund Museum Project is delighted to welcome the exhibition My Eye (Mon OEIL) - a series of Interactive Installations with Visual Games dedicated to family visitors. “My Eye”, originated from Centre Pompidou online series for children as the lead character, invites five artists – graphic artists and illustrators – to create interactive installations of an immersive worlds with contrasting colours.
Children and grown-ups are expected set out on an adventure with their eyes: exploring the creation designed by Raphaël Garnier as if they are like archaeologists; investigating the secrets of the Centre Pompidou architecture on the canvas created by Vincent Broquaire; playing with the reflections from Pierre Vanni’s balloon; moving elements of all shapes and colours made by Paul Cox’s around for a better view; as well as composing a colour orchestra with the works by Stéphane Kiehl.
From animated films to visual art workshops, visitors will question and experience the concept of “point of view”, which not only designates the position from which you look at something, but also mean a way of seeing things and a personal opinion. “My Eye” will invite all visitors to develop their own point of view by playing with the distinctive visual artworks so as to nourish the imagination and re-examine the real world.
